The purpose of the Environmental Summit is to unite all concerned citizens towards finding a solution in preserving and protecting our environment. The Summit is a supplement of the International Coastal Cleanup (Zambales) campaign that aims to create awareness on the issues of garbage spreading in our oceans and waterways.
This two-day summit aims to provide a better understanding of the sorts of issues our environment is facing and find the matching solutions for a more sustainable future at the same time preparing ourselves with nature’s fury by developing a disaster preparedness program as well as a risk reduction plan that will be able to assist our countrymen in times of calamities. Objectives: 1.Unite all concerned citizens towards finding a solution in preserving and protecting our environment. 2. Understand the issues our environment is facing and find the matching solutions for a more sustainable future. 3. Develop a disaster preparedness program and a risk reduction plan that involves the public and private sector.

In line with the International Coastal Cleanup Zambales (ICCZ) 2014 Campaign, Harbor Point Mall and The Lighthouse Marina Resort Legacy Foundation has prepared pocket events in preparation for the culminating event to make the ICCZ more meaningful.
The Eco-Workshops prepared for September 2, 2014 between 2pm-5pm at the Activity Center located at Harbor Point Mall intends to enrich environmental awareness and create a paradigm shift in certain behaviors towards trash. A pair of dedicated speakers namely, Mr. Bert Guevara, President-Elect for Zero Waste Recycling Movement of the Philippines Foundation (ZWRMPF) and Mr. Lito de Veterbo, Leave No Trace Practitioner will facilitate an interactive lecture to further share their advocacies. Harbor Point Ayala Mall in cooperation with The Lighthouse Marina Resort Legacy Foundation (LMRLF), presents the Recyclable Regatta on Saturday, September 6, 2014 from 8:00AM to 11:00AM at beachfront of The Lighthouse Marina Resort. The purpose of this event is to heighten awareness about plastic pollution and integrate creative outlets that will further educate the public. This event is in line with the the International Coastal Cleanup - Zambales (ICCZ) on September 20, 2014. The data collected during the cleanup are used for science-based solutions to tackle challenges like ocean trash, and according to cleanup data, plastic items are in the top 10 pollutants which mostly end up in our waterways.
